Train Where It Matters
Field-based learning built around the realities of high-altitude expeditions, where every decision has consequences.
Who the Institute is, what it's training toward, and where to see it in motion.

About Us
14 Peaks Mountaineering Institute trains the next generation of Himalayan mountain professionals — free of charge, to an internationally recognized standard.
Founded by Nima Rinji Sherpa, the youngest person in history to summit all fourteen 8,000-meter peaks, the Institute exists to close one gap: the distance between exceptional mountain experience and the certification the industry actually asks for.
Every seat is fully funded. Every instructor trains to International Standard. Every graduate leaves with a credential an expedition employer can read — not just a season of experience nobody wrote down.
